In the midst of central London, a successful Indian restaurant called ‘Gaylord’ is run by a Londoner of Indian origin called Pinu (Vinay Pathak) . A simple soul at heart, Pinu has many complexes – a special one being that he is a virgin and has experienced no intimacy with a woman. To top that, his biggest fear is to be laughed at by people… an ever-repeating phenomenon with him. Pinu is quite an introvert and has no real friends…the closest he has ever gotten to a friendship is with his foster brother Rajat (Siddhartha Makkar), who is quite a contrast to his own personality. A casual air about him, he is the lead singer of a rock band. Rajat is very fond of Pinu, though is often a source of annoyance to him as he finds Pinu really funny.

One day, a young Indian fellow called Kamlesh comes to his restaurant and asks for a job as a stand-up comedian. Quite thrown off, Pinu initially refuses but finally lets him join as a cook, who also does a stand-up act in the evenings. On the same day, he hires a new cashier – Renu (Gul Panag), a young art student from India, who has a passion for caricatures. Life changes dramatically for Pinu as Gaylord begins to transform… Renu works on the look of the place makes cheerful caricatures for customers while Kamles is a fabulous cook with a great talent for making people laugh in his acts and soon the restaurant is more happening and the business is much better. But the greatest difference they bring to his life is friendship. There is a visible difference in pinu’s personality now as he lets himself hang out a bit with them.

One fine day, Pinu is thrown in to a daze as he walks away from the restaurant …he has discovered a totally new fear – he might be Gay!!

Pinu seeks refuge in Rajat’s advice which is quite simply – screw a woman!

On a mission now, Pinu goes on a rampage seeking available women for a sexual rendezvous. However, it leads to him suffering another string of tragicomic situations, ending up feeling humiliated…and laughed at!

‘Straight!!’ is a funny tale about Pinu, who struggles with himself, his fears and his complexes, to ‘come out’ as straight and find himself a love story.

Little Zizou is a fast-paced, exuberant, yet poignant comedy about how two battling Mumbai families finally come to terms. Xerxes, ‘Little Zizou’ as he’s known, is an eleven year old soccer-mad Parsi boy whose fervent wish is that his idol, the world famous Algerian-origin French soccer/football player Zinedine Zidane visit Mumbai. His older brother Ataxerxes, or Art, is a talented artist whose wild fantasies come to life in surprising ways. Their father Khodaiji is a self-proclaimed protector-of-the-faith who thrives on the attentions (and donations) of hopeful believers.

Art burns with unrequited love for the daughter of Khodaiji’s arch rival, Pressvala, a free thinking newspaper publisher. And to the extreme displeasure of their other daughter, Xerxes adores the maternal Mrs Pressvala. But the real fireworks begin when Pressvala writes a scathing critique of Khodaiji and public reaction is widespread. As the two households fight, life becomes complicated.

Nandu (Bobby Deol) is a professional assassin who is wrongly accused of assassinating a politician. Nandu (Bobby Deol) an orphan turned assassin somehow gets wrongly accused of a politician’s murder and is on the run. On his escapade on a train he meets Shekhar (Pradeep), who is homebound after fourteen years, they get chatting and Nandu finds all about his joint family and the wedding of Shekhar’s cousin that he is going to attend.

Preet (Shriya Saran), who is the daughter of Shekhar’s grandfather’s friend is in awe of Nandu and falls in love with him. CBI Inspector Rane (Nana Patekar) is given the responsibility of tracking down the killer and is after Nandu.

Will Nandu be able to come out of the crisis a winner? Will the family come to know about his truth? What would be the fate of Nandu and Preet’s love story? Who was the real killer?

Aa Dekhen Zara is a 2009 romantic sci-fi thriller movie starring Neil Mukesh, who plays a photo journalist, and Bipasha Basu, a Disco Jockey. The film is being directed by debutante director Jehangir Surti.

Plot

Ray Acharya (Neil Nitin Mukesh), a struggling photographer has nothing going for him… until he inherits a very ‘special’ camera from his grandfather which changes his life in a way that he could not have imagined in his wildest dreams.

The ‘power’ of the camera changes Ray’s destiny overnight. His life becomes one big roller coaster ride that takes him from rags to riches and also helps him meet the love of his life, Simi (Bipasha Basu) who is an exciting sexy DJ with a mind of her own. Everything is hunky dory and moving towards ‘happily ever after’.As they say with great power comes great responsibility and in Ray’s case, also great danger. He must now face up to the dark side of reality and win not only against the evil forces but also against fate.

The music of the film is being directed by Sarvesh Gorwadkar. Sarvesh was reported to have sung the title song of the film. The song “Aa Dekhe Zara” is a modern day remix version of the popular dance number from the Sanjay Dutt and Tina Munim starrer Rocky which released way back in 1981. The makers of “Aa Dekhen Zara” have got the rights for this original R.D. Burman number and have given the song a modern day flavor. While Sarvesh has composed the music for the movie, Gaurav Dasgupta has been the man behind this remix number which also supposedly features Bipasha.

Deepak, a young man has been switching jobs as he does not want to succumb to the corrupt system that exists everywhere. His father, Omkarnathji, the ex-principal of a private school, has for several years now, fighting a court case against the school to get his dues. He finally wins the case and the school is ordered to give him some property as compensation, if there is no money in its funds. And thus a bus is given as reparation. However, instead of selling it off, and acting on his father’s advice, Deepak decides to put the bus into good use and start a transport business with it. However, it’s a roller-coaster ride where mishaps are more than the commuters. Corruption chases Deepak here too but what saves him, is his faith in his principles and his father’s love – acting as the strong backbone in bitter-sweet times.

Following the series’ publication, the film adaptation was mired in development hell. Producer Lawrence Gordon began developing the project at 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. with producer Joel Silver and director Terry Gilliam, the latter eventually deeming the complex novel unfilmable. During the 2000s, Gordon and Lloyd Levin collaborated with Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures to produce a script by David Hayter (who set it in modern times). Darren Aronofsky and Paul Greengrass were attached to Paramount’s project, before it was canceled over budget disputes. The project returned to Warner Bros., where Snyder was hired to direct (Paramount remained as international distributor). Fox sued Warner Bros. for copyright violation arising from Gordon’s failure to pay a buy-out in 1991, which enabled him to develop the film at the other studios. Fox and Warner Bros. settled this before the film’s release and Fox will receive a portion of the gross.
