In the midst of central London, a successful Indian restaurant called ‘Gaylord’ is run by a Londoner of Indian origin called Pinu (Vinay Pathak) . A simple soul at heart, Pinu has many complexes – a special one being that he is a virgin and has experienced no intimacy with a woman. To top that, his biggest fear is to be laughed at by people… an ever-repeating phenomenon with him. Pinu is quite an introvert and has no real friends…the closest he has ever gotten to a friendship is with his foster brother Rajat (Siddhartha Makkar), who is quite a contrast to his own personality. A casual air about him, he is the lead singer of a rock band. Rajat is very fond of Pinu, though is often a source of annoyance to him as he finds Pinu really funny.

One day, a young Indian fellow called Kamlesh comes to his restaurant and asks for a job as a stand-up comedian. Quite thrown off, Pinu initially refuses but finally lets him join as a cook, who also does a stand-up act in the evenings. On the same day, he hires a new cashier – Renu (Gul Panag), a young art student from India, who has a passion for caricatures. Life changes dramatically for Pinu as Gaylord begins to transform… Renu works on the look of the place makes cheerful caricatures for customers while Kamles is a fabulous cook with a great talent for making people laugh in his acts and soon the restaurant is more happening and the business is much better. But the greatest difference they bring to his life is friendship. There is a visible difference in pinu’s personality now as he lets himself hang out a bit with them.

One fine day, Pinu is thrown in to a daze as he walks away from the restaurant …he has discovered a totally new fear – he might be Gay!!

Pinu seeks refuge in Rajat’s advice which is quite simply – screw a woman!

On a mission now, Pinu goes on a rampage seeking available women for a sexual rendezvous. However, it leads to him suffering another string of tragicomic situations, ending up feeling humiliated…and laughed at!

‘Straight!!’ is a funny tale about Pinu, who struggles with himself, his fears and his complexes, to ‘come out’ as straight and find himself a love story.

Little Zizou is a fast-paced, exuberant, yet poignant comedy about how two battling Mumbai families finally come to terms. Xerxes, ‘Little Zizou’ as he’s known, is an eleven year old soccer-mad Parsi boy whose fervent wish is that his idol, the world famous Algerian-origin French soccer/football player Zinedine Zidane visit Mumbai. His older brother Ataxerxes, or Art, is a talented artist whose wild fantasies come to life in surprising ways. Their father Khodaiji is a self-proclaimed protector-of-the-faith who thrives on the attentions (and donations) of hopeful believers.

Art burns with unrequited love for the daughter of Khodaiji’s arch rival, Pressvala, a free thinking newspaper publisher. And to the extreme displeasure of their other daughter, Xerxes adores the maternal Mrs Pressvala. But the real fireworks begin when Pressvala writes a scathing critique of Khodaiji and public reaction is widespread. As the two households fight, life becomes complicated.

Nandu (Bobby Deol) is a professional assassin who is wrongly accused of assassinating a politician. Nandu (Bobby Deol) an orphan turned assassin somehow gets wrongly accused of a politician’s murder and is on the run. On his escapade on a train he meets Shekhar (Pradeep), who is homebound after fourteen years, they get chatting and Nandu finds all about his joint family and the wedding of Shekhar’s cousin that he is going to attend.

Nandu goes to Shekhar’s family home in his village to return his grandfathers watch and also to break the news of his grandson’s death to him. However it turns out that Shekhar’s family mistakes Nandu for Shekhar and makes him a part of the celebration at home.

Preet (Shriya Saran), who is the daughter of Shekhar’s grandfather’s friend is in awe of Nandu and falls in love with him. CBI Inspector Rane (Nana Patekar) is given the responsibility of tracking down the killer and is after Nandu.

Will Nandu be able to come out of the crisis a winner? Will the family come to know about his truth? What would be the fate of Nandu and Preet’s love story? Who was the real killer?

Summary

Bruno is an eight-year-old German boy who leads a very comfortable life in Berlin during the Second World War. His father is a high ranking Nazi officer, and things change when the family has to move due to his father’s new post. In his innocence, Bruno sees the nearby concentration camp as a ‘farm’ and wonders why its inhabitants are always wearing striped pyjamas. Plot

Outlander begins when a space craft crashes onto planet earth. The ship lands in Norway in the time of the Vikings, 709 A.D. From the wreckage emerges a soldier from another world – Kainan – who hunts a bloodthirsty creature known as the Moorwen. Man and monster both seek revenge for violence committed against them. As the Moorwen ravages the Viking world, killing everything in its path, Kainan forms an alliance with the primitive but fierce warriors. Whilst trying to hunt for the Moorwen, war brews among the Vikings, which ends with both sides taking immense losses. As the enemy Vikings retreat into the forests, the Moorwen strikes, leaving the vikings no choice but to run for help to their once close enemies. Together, the two sides attempt to destroy the Moorwen as a single band of Vikings. The village takes massive casualties, including the Viking Leader. The village in fear and its warriors demoralised, most of the vikings leave the village in search of a new home and safety. Kainan and the remaining warriors stand together to destroy the Moorwen. Kainan combines his advanced technology with ancient Iron Age weapons, and goes on to the final battle with the Moorwen. The final battle takes place when Kainan and the Moorwen fight on a cliff. The monster is about to fall, but it hangs onto Kainan’s arm. Kainan then slices the monster’s hand, sending the monster falling to its death. Kainan then chooses to stay with the humans and becomes king of the vikings.

The film shows how a squad of assassins, led by former Mossad agent Avner (Eric Bana), track down and kill a list of Black September members thought to be responsible for the eleven Israeli athletes’ murders. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

The first part of the film, which depicts the hostage taking, corresponds well with historical accounts. The second part of the movie, which depicts the Israeli government’s response, has been debated a great deal by film critics and newspaper columnists. Spielberg refers to the film’s second part as “historical fiction”, saying it is inspired by the actual Israeli operations which are now known as Operation Wrath of God.
